    This is a rare four-page advertising herald (flyer) promoting the six-night, Provincial Tour engagement of the
    JEROME KERN and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical adventure "MUSIC IN THE AIR" at the Theatre Royal in Birmingham, England beginning March 19th, 1934. (The Original Broadway production opened November 8th, 1932 at New York's Alvin Theatre and ran for 342 performances. The London production opened May 19th, 1933 at His Majesty's Theatre and ran for 275 performances before going on the road.) ..... This four page flyer measures 5" X 7 1/2" inches and includes beautiful graphics on the front, excerpts from a number of London reviews, production credits and partial cast credits on the inside pages and a photo of PHYLLIS DARE on the backside ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light fold across the middle, this rare herald is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
