    This is a rare single page advertising handbill (flyer) announcing the opening of the Box Office on Tuesday, October 1st, 1957, seven months before the first performance of the
    Original West End production of the ALAN JAY LERNER and FREDERICK LOEWE musical classic "MY FAIR LADY" at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in London. (The Original Broadway production opened March 15th, 1956 at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in New York City and ran for 2717 performances. The London production would open April 30th, 1958 and run for 2281 performances.) ..... The musical starred REX HARRISON as "Henry Higgins" and JULIE ANDREWS as "Eliza Doolittle", the roles they had originated on Broadway and featured STANLEY HOLLOWAY, ROBERT COOTE, ZENA DARE, LINDA GRAY, BETTY WOOLFE, MARGARET HALSTAN, LEONARD WEIR, BOB CHISHOLM, MAX OLDAKER, ALAN DUDLEY and ELAINE GARREAU ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a fold across the middle, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
