A GOOD END OF THE 19THC C1900 OR OLDER DATE TRADITIONAL NEPALESE MADE TRIBAL TYPE VILLAGER KUKRI.
The blade is hollow forged from laminated carbon steel that will have undergone differential heat treat to its cutting edge as all native Nepal made kukris do, it has a v ridged spine and 2 fullers along its top side edges on both sides that reach to the slight elbow bend, it has the traditional cho - thumb prick at the end of its traditional scandi type grind cutting edge, both sides of the blade show clear signs of lamination and a few small regions where de lam cracks which are due to forging by hand are present, it also shows a slight hamon water quench mark.
The edge is still sharp and has no damage such as niks or rust pitting.

The hilt is made from a dark native to Nepalese hard wood, it has an intricately carved middle ring section that has been inlaid or painted in with lacquer of white colour, it has a single larger chip on its pommel and a couple of much smaller ones to which are due to age and use over many years.
The tang is the older type v type shape which goes through the iron bolster and into the wooden grip section of the hilt and is set in place with traditional tree sap lacquer cutlers resin, there is no looseness and the hilt is set good and tight onto the blade
and does not move or wobble.
Size is 18 inches from pint of plate tip to top point of pommel.
The blade is 14 inches in length and has a 1/4 inch thick spine at the hilt end which thins towards its tip.
